OEM Toner Products
OEM is an abbreviation for ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS.
It means that it is the toner the manufacturer created to work with the machine you are currently using. It is the "Name Brand!"
Compatible Toners
Compatible toners are OEM products that are made by a nationally known company, (usually the same company that produces toners for machine manufacturers) and carry their own label. Buying a compatible or interchangeable toner cartridge is like buying tires for your car. If you use the right size tire, with the car manufacturers ratings and choose a nationally known company - such as Goodyear - you can feel secure knowing that it will perform properly. The same is true with AddToner.com supplies.
Generic Toners
Generic toners are newly manufactured products.
They are made using the same state-of-the-art technology that goes into making OEM products. Often, a nationally known company manufactures the generic brand for a smaller company. After the manufacturing process, the smaller company simply puts its own label on the product and sells it. However, the quality of these toners may not be as dependable. Generics sometimes are also classified as “seconds” – that is, they didn’t pass all quality standards when manufactured.
